Missing the Magic!
Last December we embarked on an epic trip to Disney that was truly the best family trip ever!! There was a little anxiety before leaving about going to Disney with a group of 14 (our families along with the grands)!! Would this trip prove to be one big disaster?? Far from it!! We have memories that will last a lifetime and a trip our kids are still talking about!! Below are memories from our trip and why we are missing the “magic”.
Our crew!! (from left to right Kelly parents, James, Natalie, Kennedy (5) and Harper (3), Kelly, Kate (4), Natalie’s mom, Pat, Kollins (2), Landon (6), Kelly’s in-laws)
This was our kids first flight as well as first trip to Disney! They each were responsible for their own bag and did surprisingly well. They LOVED flying (and we loved that it made a quick trip to Orlando)!!
The girls loved all the Princesses before we left but getting to meet them all bought the love to a whole new level. We visited Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios…finding something that we loved at all of them. Magic Kingdom was definitely the kids favorite park. From T-cups, to meeting Princesses, to watching nighttime fireworks, Magic Kingdom is truly a “magical place”!!
Another highlight for the girls was Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!! Oh my, this place was a little girls dream. They were all pampered and adored (we purchased dresses ahead of time and brought them with us)! These little princesses had the time of their life!
Park character stops were a big hit for our group!! Kollins has slept with a plush Marie since she was little so seeing her LIVE was a fun treat!!
Ferry rides to Magic Kingdom made for a fun ride to and from!
Our top tips!
- Utilize FastPass and have a plan for each day. This made our days run smoothly and easily.
- Rent a stroller…even our older kids loved the stroller.
- Stay in the Park.
- Have dinner reservations!
- Afternoon naps (know your kids limits)!
Pat – The smiles on all the kids faces and T-cups at Magic Kindgom.
Kelly – Hard to pick one but will go with “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing Along Celebration” at Disney Hollywood Studios.
Landon – Going to the Lego Store and playing with legos at Disney Springs.
Kate – T-cups at Magic Kingdom
Kollins – T-cups at Magic Kingdom
Natalie – Seeing the girls excitement over meeting all the princesses.
James – Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom
Kennedy – “Under the Sea – The Journey of The Little Mermaid” at Magic Kindgom
Harper – The Carousel at Magic Kingdom
We can hardly wait until our next trip and would love to hear from you…what is not to miss at Disney??
