Spooky Sweets: Halloween treats
It may be Halloween, but the weekend still isn’t here. If you’re waiting until Friday night to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve, never fear! The candy aisle may be empty but we have simple and fun Halloween treats to make at home for your celebrations.
- Spooky Strawberry Cheesecake Treats
We found this recipe and picture at litehousefoods.com and they’re gory and yummy enough for the boys in your house! I grew up in a neighborhood full of boys and this is one Halloween treat that wouldn’t have lasted a second in our house.
- Dark Chocolate Candy Corn Bark
We found this at Food Done Light and we may be in love. Candy corn and dark chocolate are two of our favorite things, and mixed together, we don’t know if we can stand it. Bark is so easy and perfect for all holidays, we love this spooky twist!
- Candy Corn Macarons
If your crowd’s a little bit more high brow than blood and guts, check out these macarons from Persia Lou. Macarons are always a treat, and the coloring of these makes them a perfect grown-up treat at parties this weekend.
- Chocolate Spider Cupcakes
We found this recipe at Five Heart Home, and we are obsessed. Chocolate cupcakes, chocolate icing, chocolate sprinkles, chocolate everything. We may be squeamish about spiders, but add three different kinds of chocolate, and we’ll look over the creepy crawly factor.
We love Halloween treats and recipes at Ellie Clothing. What’s your go-to spooky sweet treat?
