Creative Halloween Pumpkins
Halloween is right around the corner, Ellie gals! Which means…it’s time to decorate those pumpkins! Pumpkin carving is one of those quintessential family fun activities – except it doesn’t always turn out being so fun. First of all, it’s time consuming (gutting, designing, carving), and then your little ones always find a way to nearly cut a finger off. What’s a girl to do? Try out one of these carving alternatives – they are perfect for everyone in your family!
Frozen Inspired
If you have a daughter, you know all about some Frozen. If you’ve got a princess on your hands this Halloween, then this creative pumpkin design was made for her! Instead of trying to carve Elsa’s or Olaf’s face, help your daughter paint and bedazzle her pumpkin Frozen-style. And add a tiara on top, of course!

Festive Messages
Don’t have paint on hand? No problem! Gather whatever materials you do have (buttons, jewels, pieces of fabric or felt, etc.) and glue it on your pumpkin to create festive messages to your trick-or-treaters!

Give Them A Theme
There’s nothing cuter than a family who coordinates their pumpkin decorations! So, if you have older kids who can come to an agreement on a single idea (good luck), then get together and come up with a family theme for your pumpkins! We can’t get enough of these Minions and Super Hero themed collections from Occasionally Crafty and Delicious by Dre.

Give Him A Power Tool
We can’t forget about the dads! Let him unleash his inner testosterone by handing him a drill and letting him go! You can use this method to create both manly and girly designs. Plus, you can let little ones “help” Dad hold the drill while he’s making his designs – family fun and teaching safety all in one!
